Aoba Suzuki is a quiet, physically fragile high school student who endures constant harassment from his peers—most notably his classmate, Sannosuke Iwase. His world shifts when Kenshin Akazawa, the school’s star MMA talent, intervenes during one particularly harsh confrontation. Rather than feeling gratitude, Aoba’s wounded pride ignites into determination: he becomes obsessed with landing a single punch on the very person who rescued him.

Driven by this newfound purpose, Aoba steps into Shark’s Gym under the watchful eye of Coach Tokiwa, a former fighter whose stern guidance masks genuine care. There, he trains alongside Iwase—who gradually transitions from tormentor to reluctant ally—and repeatedly crosses paths with Kenshin, whose effortless skill both infuriates and inspires Aoba. Together, this unlikely group navigates the highs and lows of mixed martial arts, each pushing the others toward growth without revealing just how far their journeys will go.
